MISSOURI 811 REQUIRED
Missouri law requires anyone planning to dig or excavate to contact Missouri 811 before work begins. Submitting this request to Aptitude Internet does not replace or satisfy your obligation to contact Missouri 811.
Contact Missouri 811 first, then submit this request if your project may impact Aptitude Internet facilities on your property.
Important Information
Before digging on your property, it’s important to make sure private fiber lines and related equipment are properly identified.
Missouri 811 locates public utilities; however, private internet service lines and equipment on private property may not be included in those markings. This can include buried fiber drops, conduit, and other Aptitude Internet facilities serving your home or business.
Aptitude Internet requires at least three (3) business days’ notice before excavation or digging activity begins.
Common Projects Requiring a Locate:
- Fence installation
- Landscaping or tree planting
- Trenching
- Construction projects
- Irrigation work
- Deck or patio installation
- Grading or drainage work
- Any digging or excavation activity
Important Notice
- Contact Missouri 811 before digging, as required by state law.
- This Aptitude Internet locate request does not replace a Missouri 811 locate request.
- Do not begin digging until all required utility locates have been completed.
- Private utility lines on private property may not be marked through Missouri 811.
- Excavation without proper notice may result in service interruptions, repair charges, replacement costs, and restoration expenses.
